PAAJAF Foundation is in Gbawe, a town located in the outskirts of Accra, Ghana. We currently have 91 students enrolled aged 2 to 14 years old. We provide a safe place for children to learn, play and be part of a loving community composed of around 515 people. Your donation is considered an act of empathy. Many families will receive support and with your help, the future will bring hope for them as the school and teachers will be ready to welcome their students back, as soon as the COVID-19 crisis is over.
We are 100% committed to our community. We want to continue improving their living conditions by providing children with quality education and youth job training for future advancement. Our project is currently threatened by the COVID-19 crisis. Due to the mandatory lockdown, our school is closed and our students, families and teachers, who are unemployed right now, are facing complex challenges of covering necessities such as sanitary and nutritional needs.
Your generosity will allow us to act quickly in this uncertain time, by bringing immediate relief to our school community by:
- Ensuring that nutritious meals continue to reach our students at home
- Financially supporting our school teachers to meet their basic needs
- Maintaining the school minimum operation to keep our cherished project alive for when we can welcome our children back
The consequences of staying afloat are tangible in the near future. Along with our volunteers, you, and the people of the Gbawe community, we will continue to work toward the goal of the “Education Center for Disadvantaged Families Ghana”. Our vision is to create an educational and community center for disadvantaged children and their families. This will provide a space that leads the way out of poverty, increases the literacy rate, and encourages civic engagement in the community.
